Valentines Day

14th of February, A day for couples to enjoy a romantic candlelight dinner, some soft music and the love that is in the air.. but for me.. i decided to do something totally out of my mind.. I went on a blind date, meeting someone I have never met before in my entire life..

Organized by TheStar, 5 guys and girls were chosen to be on the blind date on the 14th of Feb. Venue : Hotel Nikko, Time : 14th Feb 7:00pm. Things to bring : confidence, sense of humor, gift and most importantly your wits. A total of 70 participants took part in the "Table for Two" event and only 10 finalist was chosen.. Surprisingly....I'm one of them

The Day itself finally came and I went there with a blue short-sleave shirt, a black coat-jacket and black slacks. My gift was a hand made "Rose in a Bottle", but thanks to TheStar my gift sounds horrible.. a ribbon made rose with paper clip stems... the paper clips cannot be seen anywhere on the rose but nicely wrapped inside the ribbon itself...

Upon arriving at Hotel Nikko via LRT.. which was packed and i felt like a sardin trapped inside a can. I found myself walking into a 5-star hotel with nothing but my guts quivering with pure excitement... who will I be meeting.. I hope I get Josephine for my date, she's pretty, cute and close to my age too.. should have things to talk about... As I was wondering away, Darren - another participant showed up right behind me.. apparently he was on the same LRT I was on earlier.. Well.. we both walked into the dining area and sat down.. chatting a bit to calm our nerves down.

*Wooot.. a pretty girl showed up right after Darren and I sat down. The name - Esther. Dressed in Blue and Black, she caught my attention of this is how a girl should dress up for a date. To my delight, she sat down right in front of me and we started talking. "Hmm.. she's not too bad either.. it would be cool if she's my date too... ", man was I wrong.. we might have things in common but getting to know her made me realised she's a pure christian devotee... which.. is the opposite of me as I'm a free-thinker. Well, she got paired up with Vickey in the end..

After all the top 10 finalist arrived, we had a speed dating session... 5 minutes with each girl and move on.. ( bloody hell.. what can u say in 5 minutes? Hi, my name is bla bla bla.. nice to meet you... how do you do.. what made you come here.. *ding ding ding. times up ) and that is only questions from 1 person.. Anyway.. that was horrible.. moving on.. I was paired up with Sue.

Friendly girl, talkative.. great to be a friend but not a lover.. for me that is.. we are nearly 4 years apart in age and she's just like a kid to me still.. ( Sorry Sue ) Most of the night I was just sharing my experience about my travels and mostly my stuff.. I din't really get to know her well.. a brief introduction and a bit of chat here and there.....

Lets put the date aside.. we had.. dinner... buffet SUSHI SYTLE !! sadly.. I don't eat sushi.. it makes me sick.. so I packed on the chocolate appertisers, fruits and salads instead.... Next came the main dish, Fried Salmon - Salmon wasn't too fresh, over fried it a little bit but other then that.. it was nicely placed and the sauce was just nice. Then came the deserts, chocolate fountain dip of fruits, marshmellows and a helping of cakes. The picture is Josephine ( yes, the girl I was hoping to be paired up with ) and Jason at the chocolate fountain dipping into it.

After dinner I manage to get all their msn emails, sadly not all phone numbers though.... We posed for some pictures, post-dating interview, experience sharing and lots of chit chat.. Time flies and it was nearly 12 when I rushed to the LRT to head back to Paramount Garden. Last few pictures we took was a group photo of the Top 10 Finalist !!!! Envy this everyone.. Final detail that is gonna be posted.. the link to where all this can be found...
